"SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY – DOES IT GET REPORTED?" - so she slays
In the UK right now, there is a revolution happening. Sparked by the disappearance and murder of Marketing Executive Sarah Everard, women are coming together on social media to share their stories of harassment.
This social media wave has now traveled worldwide, encouraging women from all over the globe to share their stories. In the midst of this shockwave, The Guardian released an article alleging that 97% of all young women have been sexually harassed.
Some people responded with, "well, it's not all men that do it." Correct. However, nearly all women receive it, so the conversation about harassment needs to be had.
What about in the music industry, though? We hear all the time of music conglomerates being accused of inappropriate and sexually predatory behaviour. How often does it actually get reported? I spoke to two female stars about their experience of sexual harassment in the music industry.

"Why 'cheat days' encourage binge eating disorder" - THE INDIEPENDENT
Labelling unhealthy food as ‘cheating’ encourages an unhealthy mental relationship with food and helps develop binge eating disorder.
It may well lead to other EDs such as orthorexia, where you only eat healthy food or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (AFRID). As well as other disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, the list goes on. But – I want to talk specifically about binging.
Eating Disorders Awareness week was March 1st – 7th, but the conversation shouldn’t stop there.
When are we going to call ‘Cheat Days’ out for what they are? Glorified binges which lead to binge-eating disorder. It’s not just me who thinks this, there are many YouTubers who agree...and the experts do too.

"I was on my period for three years thanks to my contraception" - metro
When it comes to deciding which form of contraception to use, you don’t expect your mental health, physical health and sex life to be hanging in the balance.
But over the past three years, I’ve had the menstrual cycle from hell: my periods lasting for three months, followed by just a three-week break.
This came after I chose to have the contraceptive implant inserted into my upper arm. A small plastic rod, the implant sits under the skin and secretes the hormone progesterone.
It is more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, but in my case, it was also more than 99% effective at ruining my life.

"your fad diet is my only option to survive" the indiependent
"I have been on a strict gluten-free diet since I was fifteen. No, it’s not for Instagram. No, it’s not to be a hipster. I do it to survive. I'm Coeliac.
The gluten-free diet has been labelled a fad by far too many people who don’t understand what it is. It’s not their fault though, given the proliferation of articles; eat gluten-free to lose weight, how going gluten-free will make you healthier, celebs who swear by the g-free diet. It makes me want to scream. There is a dangerous cross over between dietary preferences and dietary needs and it makes people a lot less likely to understand my condition."

"my top tips for graduates out of work" THE YORKSHIRE POST
"If, like me, you had your post-uni life planned out meticulously, you might now find yourself in a weird phase similar to the limbo transition we feel between Christmas and New Year, but a lot less exciting.
When the UK-wide lockdown was imposed in March 2020, millions of students were forced to finish their final year of their degree online. Not only that but graduation was cancelled, and future plans were called into question.
Now let’s flip the narrative that it’s all doom and gloom. How else will we turn our misfortune into our biggest success story?"
